ഗുരുവായുരപ്പന് ശുദ്ധികലശാഭിഷേകം നടക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച സന്ധ്യക്ക് ദീപാരാധനയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം ഏഴുമുതല്‍ ഒമ്പതര വരെയും ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ഏഴു മുതല്‍ ഒമ്പതര വരെയും ഭക്തര്‍ക്ക് നാലമ്പലത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശനം ഉണ്ടാകില്ല. ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച സന്ധ്യക്ക് ദീപാരാധന കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ശ്രീഭൂതബലി നടക്കും. ശ്രീഭൂതബലി സമയത്തും നാലമ്പലത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശനമില്ല.
